Tillamook Country Smoker (TCS) has announced it has leased the former BrucePac facility at 801 N 1st Street in Silverton.  The 105,000 sq. ft. facility was vacated in 2021 as BrucePac consolidated its Silverton operation into available space in their large Woodburn campus just 11 miles to the West.  BrucePac also has a facility in Durant, Oklahoma.

TCS leased the facility in early 2022 and began production of non-USDA (plant-based) jerky products for a third-party client on July 5th of this year stated Geordie Mosbarger, President of Tillamook Country Smoker.  TCS has hired 35 people to work in the facility and that number is expected to climb to 80 by year-end when Phase II of their production line begins.  Mosbarger is hopeful that the line will be up and running by November after some power upgrades are made to the facility to accommodate the equipment necessary for that product line.

With origins back to 1965, Tillamook Country Smoker opened its first factory and retail store in 1975 and has expanded beyond its home base in Bay City, Oregon to a facility in Beaverton and now Silverton.  Their beef jerky and meat sticks are on grocery shelves and counters across America.  In 2020 TCS was acquired by Insignia Capital Group of Walnut Creek, CA.

Curt Arthur, SIOR, and Nick Williams of SVN Commercial Advisors, LLC were the advisors for all parties in the transaction in Silverton.
